DREAM CITY WORKING TIMELINE
Through Dec. 12, 2008: The Architecture of Desire: Parts I & II - Colorado College I.D.E.A. Space will present this two-part educational and interactive multi-media exhibit that will explore how our architecture reflects our world views. The exhibit will solicit, through this Dream City Web site, your views about the designed spaces in your community. At the Cornerstone Arts Center at Cascade Avenue and Cache la Poudre Street
October 22-23, 2008: Leadership Pikes Peak presents Experience the Springs, a crash course on how our city runs. Learn about everything from the arts and culture sector to transportation and public safety. Visit www.LeadershipPikesPeak.org for more information.
October 22, 2008: Pikes Peak Workforce Center presents a youth workshop on the importance of volunteering from 4:30-6 p.m. Participants will learn how to begin volunteering including where to look for opportunities and the positive impact giving can make in other people's lives and their own. November 2008: Dream City launches the 'education phase' of the project with historical pieces running in The Gazette detailing past visioning processes and best practices from other regions around the country.
November 3, 2008: Civil Dialogue will be coming to Colorado Springs! Two sessions will be held at 5 and 7:30pm at the Dust Loo Bon Vivant Theater located at 3955 Cragwood Drive. Engage in a civil discussion about the upcoming presidential election. Call 235-3048 for more information.
November 11, 2008: Dream City Facilitator Training at 6pm at Leadership Pikes Peak, 24 S. Weber Suite 135. Call 632-2618, ext. 24 to RSVP.
December 2008- February 2009: Education partners will host community events. The 'engagement phase' launches with Leadership Pikes Peak beginning to recruit and train community volunteers to prepare citizens for the next phase of civic engagement.

February-March 2009: PPLD issues a public ballot for 2009 APPR book selection(s). The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance along with the Pikes Peak Library District open the Facing Our History, Facing Ourselves exhibit.
March-July 2009: The civic engagement phase continues with full coverage of the process in The Gazette and with Dream City's broadcasting partners. Outcomes of this process will inform the 2009 All Pikes Peak Reads project.
April 2009: Announcement of 2009 APPR book(s) and theater selection surrounding Dream City themes.
May 2009: Dream City holds community-wide summit as a vital part of the community engagement process.
October 2009: The participants in Dream City create a time capsule and bury it in the library's public garden.
